In Year 10, students will be engaging in higher order reasoning and increasing abstraction. It’s a great chance for students to consider their own position in the world as a creator and responder. The Cluey Education Team is ready to support them at every stage, with units for essays, oral presentations, creative and persuasive writing, as well as spelling, syntax and grammar. Meet Dr Selina Samuels
Dr Samuels and her Education team developed Cluey's unique CENTRE approach, and have created interactive learning programs that map to the curriculum and allow students to work at their own level and pace.
English Tutoring Program Based on the Curriculum
Cluey's Secondary English learning programmes are based on the New Zealand Curriculum for K-6 and focus on core literacy skills, including reading and writing techniques in the early years, and grammar and punctuation in the senior years. She has 3 years formal tutoring experience from prep to secondary students in Mathematics (to year 10) and English (to year 12). Eden has a passion for guiding students to reach their full potential based on their interests, strengths, and individual learning styles.

Weekly learning through live tutoring sessions, feedback & practice
Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.

First 5 Minutes
Establishing the session theme, why are we here?

During the session
