Meet Dr Selina Samuels
Dr Samuels and her Education team developed Cluey's unique CENTRE approach, and have created interactive learning programs that map to the curriculum and allow students to work at their own level and pace.
English Tutoring Program Based on the Curriculum
Cluey's Secondary English learning programmes are based on the New Zealand Curriculum for K-6 and focus on core literacy skills, including reading and writing techniques in the early years, and grammar and punctuation in the senior years. Our personalised approach gives your child the opportunity to slow down in the areas they find challenging to ensure they ‘get it’.

Joseph completed his Bachelor of Teaching/Bachelor of Arts (Humanities) in 2015 at the Australian Catholic University, followed by his Master of English Studies in 2019 at the University of Sydney. He has 4 years of formal English and History tutoring for Primary and Secondary students. Joseph always makes sure to make the academic content relatable to his students to nurture a nuanced understanding that they remember for a long time.

Felicity currently works as a Numeracy and Literacy Teacher at a school where the majority of students don't speak English as their first language. Felicity understands the importance of extra patience and effort with special needs students to ensure these students are gaining a thorough and conceptual understanding of their work. She is confident in methods to help encourage and develop speech, as well as interaction in social situations.

Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.

First 5 Minutes
Establishing the session theme, why are we here?

During the session
