Meet Dr Selina Samuels
Dr Samuels and her Education team developed Cluey's unique CENTRE approach, and have created interactive learning programs that map to the curriculum and allow students to work at their own level and pace.
English Tutoring Program Based on the Curriculum
Cluey's Secondary English learning programmes are based on the New Zealand Curriculum for K-6 and focus on core literacy skills, including reading and writing techniques in the early years, and grammar and punctuation in the senior years. Our personalised approach gives your child the opportunity to slow down in the areas they find challenging to ensure they ‘get it’.

University Student (Bachelor of Science)
Mathematics: Primary, Intermediate & Secondary
Emma completed her Higher School Certificate in 2019, achieving an ATAR of 98.90. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Mathematics, and a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Queensland. Emma has been tutoring Year 5 students in Mathematics and English since 2015. She also has formal tutoring experience (including marking) in 1:1 and group settings. Emma enjoys breaking down concepts to their simplest forms so students can better understand and retain what they have learned.

Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.

First 5 Minutes
Establishing the session theme, why are we here?

During the session
- Work through exercises based on the topics and concepts for each learning goal
